My father's name is Yeung Chiu (David) Lam.  He's from Hong Kong.  When he was young, his father (my grandfather) Wai Woo Lum started working on a merchant ship as a cook.  He rarely saw his father and his mother basically took care of him until he was old enough to moved to the US.  He reunited with his father in the US, quitted High School and started working in the restaurant business.  He is currently the manager of "Sweet and Tart Restaurant" on 20 Mott Street.  He has an older sister (my auntie), who has two boys (my two older cousins), Benny and Eric.

My mother's name is Sarah Lam.  She has had quite a life's story.  Please read her story in the "Escaping to Freedom section".  After she reached the US, she was adopted by the Marlatt family.  When she turned 18, she moved to New York City.  In NYC, she had a variety of jobs, including being a waitress and a tailor.  She met my dad as a co-worker in a restaurant.  They were dating and soon after they got married.  While working, my mother saved enough money to bring her family over the the US.  She has three brothers; Uncle Allen, Uncle Harrison (married and has two boys, "Justin and Jeffrey", and Uncle Steven (married and has one boy, "Mathew") and a sister, Auntie Lenny (married and has one girl (my favorite cousin, Virgina) and one boy (Johnny).  My mother was the oldest of 5.

My younger brother goes by the name "Jaden", but we all know him as Thomas (Tommy boy!).  He's a very talented young man, at the age of 15.  We're alike in some ways and in other ways (most things) we're complete opposites:  I have parted hair; his hair is spiked.  Both of us enjoy Counter-strike.  He's better at it than I am.  Both of us have stuffed animals that we obsessed about when we were younger.  Whenever he takes mine, I would beat the crap out of him (long time ago).  We tend to get along fairly well, despite Tommy Boy's temper.  He's considering business and law as a career at the moment.  Go him! :)
